Grigorakis Stylianos

Dr. Stylianos Grigorakis is a member of the Board of Directors and founding member of the Institute of Life and a founding member of the company. He is a Gynecologist and a specialist in Assisted Reproduction and Laparoscopic / Hysteroscopic Surgery.
Dr. Stylianos Grigorakis has been fully trained in Obstetrics / Gynecology, as well as Laparoscopic Surgery and Reproductive Medicine, in the UK, where he received his specialty and became a Member of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (MRCOG).
Dr. Stylianos Grigorakis is a member of the Board of Directors and founding member of the Institute of Life and a founding member of the company.
He was born in Athens in 1962 and graduated from Lycee Leonin French School in 1979.
In 1986, he graduated from the Medical School of Athens.
From 1986 to 1989, he served as a medical officer in the army, working mainly in Cardiovascular and General Surgery.
From 1989 to 1992, he worked as a Senior House Officer in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Royal Free Teaching Hospital and Chase Farm District Hospital in London.
From 1992 to 1995, he worked as a Registrar in Obstetrics and Gynecology in Mayday University Hospital and Croydon, St. George’s Teaching Hospital, Tooting, and became a Member of the Royal College Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (MRCOG).
From 1995 to 1996, he was trained in Laparoscopic Surgery at Cochin Hospital, Paris, and in IVF at The London Gynaecology and Fertility Centre, London, under Professor Ian Craft, where he also obtained the European Certificate for Specialist Training in Obstetrics and Gynaecology.
Since 1997, when he returned to Greece, he has been focusing on Laparoscopic Surgery and IVF.
In 1997, he founded the Akeso IVF Center in Athens, along with another two colleagues, where he practiced IVF until 2015.
Dr. Grigorakis is one of visionaries and founders of the Institute of Life (IOLIFE) Assisted Reproduction Unit, which has been operating since 2015 within IASO Maternity Hospital.
He is married to Obstetrician / Gynecologist Sabine Wuenschmann and has four boys. He is a fan of sports and in his free time he skis or windsurfs.
